Hp cutter - 64 - OPOS calibration request

#1 charlescheng719 4 years ago

Good day,

Pls advice how do I do calibration on the HP 64 latex cutter?

I have print using the SAI printed the 3 square -

  • put in the media into the cutter
  • went to menu - opos calibration - it printed on the first white square -
  • took out the first cutter square -
  • then did calibration on the length and measure the 3 square.

But when I did the actual product print and cut, it is not cutting the contour in the right position (it off by 0.5cm) (to the left)

Pls can you advise how do fix it?

The OPOS calibration does not require any printed output from the Latex printer. It is performed as follows:

  1. Load a sheet or roll of black self-adhesive vinyl with white backing paper into the cutter
  2. On the cutter front panel navigate to System Setup > Calibrations > Cal OPOS. The cutter will cut a square in the vinyl. Carefully weed the square and press Enter. The cutter will read the four edges of the square and calibrate based on this.

The procedure is described on page 48 of the cutter user manual.

#4 Thank you,

Let me give it a try,

Pls can you advice whether if we are able to cut them out of the whole sheet vinyl ?

Meaning, we can just tear off the single vinyl sheet off the whole vinyl.

Pls can you advice the setting, im using SAI

The same issue for me, I did the calibration as specified with a black piece of vinyl and it completed fine yet a to of jobs are out. It starts cutting the first sticker fine and gets progressively more and more out of alignment. What am I missing. Its not even every job some print and cut perfectly and some don't, its costing me lots of $$$$

I also have this issue. Some cut jobs will cut perfectly and the next will be progressively more off-center horizontally as you go from the barcode side of the job to the other side.
