I recently installed Onyx 12.2 on a new pc. Running 2 HP 365. Everytime I load new media on either printer Onyx does not update automatically. Even if I press "Manual Update" is dosent work. Usually it works when I completely close Onyx and restart it.

Some customers that are using HP Latex printers with ONYX RIP software may experience instability and/or crashing. The most common cause for these issues is incompatibility between the version of the ONYX driver and the HP Latex firmware version. Below are the steps to follow in order to ensure you have the latest version of the ONYX driver and HP firmware:

  1. Ensure that you are running the most recent version of ONYX software. This also includes installing the latest maintenance patches available. Software updates and downloads are available on the ONYX website:
  2. Make sure that your HP Latex printer(s) have the latest firmware installed. More information on updating the firmware on HP Latex printers can be found here:
  3. Download and install the newest ONYX printer driver using the Printer and Profile Download Manager. Additional information on updating ONYX printer drivers can be found here:
  4. Verify that your HP printer and ONYX software are connected through a Gigabit network connection.
  5. Properly configure Antivirus and Firewall to allow for uninterrupted bidirectional communication between the ONYX Software and the HP Latex printer. If this is the issue then you can simply try to change its os and still there the same issue then might solve your problem. HP also released so many its driver patches you can try those.
