I am having issues with Aluminum Composite Panels and ink durability. We have been putting a protective film on our ACP panels 24-hours after printing to protect them during shipping/transportation. Recently, ink has been coming off the ACP when the customer peels the protective film from the substrate. This is a new issue and we have been doing it this way for maybe the past year.
Some concerns I have that may or may not be a factor.
-We do not have a climate controlled environment, typically the ambient temperature is above the accepted threshold and humidity is below the threshold.
-We were using premask previously but we have moved to a film that may have too strong of an adhesion
-It took me months to figure out a mode that produces an acceptable print and I would rather not start from square one
