Media Width?

HP Latex 370 Printer

#1 InsightKC 8 years ago

My HP370 won't let me send a file to print. It says "can't detect media width. Continue anyway?" I click OK to continue then it says "specify media width." I type in the media width in the printer profile but I don't know what to do after that. I've unloaded and loaded the media several times but the printer still can't detect it. Help please!

Hi InsightKC,

Can you please let me know if you're experiencing one of this two cases:

1- The print is not able to measure the media length when loading it.

2- The printer is able to measure the media length but the RIP has some kind of synchronization difficultly.

Anyway, if you are using a transparent/translucent or dark media the line sensor might not be able to locate the media edges. To manually set the media width from the printer-s front panel go to Settings > Substrate > Substrate Handling Options > Substrate Width

Hi InsightKC,

Were my indications useful? were you finally able to introduce the media width?
