Color doesn't match file

#1 judy.peace5073 5 years ago

We are printing maps that used to be printed on our HP Z6100 aqueous printer and are now printing on our new HP 315 latex. The Colour is drastically different from the old to the new. The aqueous ones more closely matched the cmyk breakdown of the grey colour where as now the same colour is printing very pink instead of grey. We've done the colour calibration but the colour is no different. What can we do to match the previous grey colour?

It's difficult to emulate a color from another product, and even more if it's from aqueous ink and using a printer without a spectrophotometer. Please follow this suggestion they might help with your workflow:

  • Printheads and Maintenance Cartridge have to be in good conditions
  • Temperature and humidity of the room have to be within specs.
  • There is an option in SAI to apply only black ink (grayscale) GO to Color Management Tab, select "no color management" and in the "color mode" section select "greyscale 8bits.

I hope this helps.
