Bar Code recognition - What am I doing wrong?

I have printed a full run of stickers, I was cutting fine and I paused the machine, it cancelled everything and now it will not recognize the barcode anymore. I have reset everything, but now I am so frustrated trying to get this going. Please advise what this operator is doing wrong.

Here are some recommendations in order to fix the issue:

1. Update the cutter firmware to the latest version.
2. Ensure that you position the cutting head correctly when the cutter prompts you to do so. Carefully read the instructions on the cutter’s screen when starting a cutting job.
3. This problem most often occurs with substrates that are colored or have certain laminations. Remember to calibrate the substrate before using it. See how to calibrate the substrate on the User’s Guide.
4. Leave a 20 cm margin between media edge and barcode to ensure that the media is completely flat when the OPOS tries to read the barcode.
5. Check whether the sensor touches the substrate during barcode and marker detection. If so, use the middle pinches to flatten the surface or lower the speed.
6. Place the external pinch rollers away from the OPOS mark. If an external pinch roller is sitting above an OPOS mark, the cutter is not able to read the position and gives the error.
7. If you are using the HP Barcode in black and grey, try using the black and yellow option. (you might need to upgrade your RIP) Calibrate the media again after switching.
8. Avoid direct light sources on top of the OPOS sensor when reading the barcode.
