Problems with printed colour

HP Latex 260 Printer

#1 latex 8 years ago

I have a problem with my Latex L26500. It only happens when printing light brown or whitecoffe color. At the beginnig of the print the colour is printed as it should be, but then it begins to go green. I use Caldera rip, 12 passes.

Hi Latex,

Sometimes, when printing individual tiles, these are long and can contain very large areas of solid color. This combination could cause a degradation on printheads performance, which can cause the color degradation inside the same tile. To solve this issue, I'll recommend you to enable the "extra PH cleaning of your printer:

Front panel --> "ink drops" icon --> Image quality and maintenance --> Enable extra PH cleaning.

Remember to turn off this setting when you not need it.

Let me know if this solve your issue.

I think this is not the solution, since I had the same problem before when PH extra cleaning was enabled and I had to change PH cleaning kit once a month. And the problem is only with beige color in all variations.

Thanks

Hi Latex,

I will like to ask you how many ml have been printed with each one of the printheads in order to have some more information.

By the other, two other possible solutions came to my mind

1- Maybe you have a nozzle out issue. In order to know if this is the case, you should print using the spit bars in both sides in order to check if any color is affected.

2- If you notice that the color changes more at the end of the plot that in the beginning, maybe the color variation is due to the overheat of the printhead. Then I'll recommend to insert a inter swath delay of 0.2 seconds in order to minimize this effect.

Hope this helps.

Hi Marc,

Here is data for the printheads:

C-LC1 398 ml

C-LC2 478 ml

Y-K3 1584 ml

Y-K3 11199 ml

M-LM5 901 ml

M-LM6 409 ml

I will try to print with spit bars.

Color changes usually begins in the middle of the print, wich is long aprox. 3 m.

Thanks,

Suzana
